Professor Martha Matsuoka

I learned so much conversing with Professor Matsuoka on her experiences as a student at Oxy. I am so honored to have the opportunity and space to speak to a faculty member/alum on a topic so relevant to me. It is definitely frustrating knowing that much of the campus climate has not changed in the past decades and that spaces for students of color has shrunk since her time here. However, listening to Professor Matsuoka describe the student activism on campus was very inspiring and empowering. Students are and never will be quiet to injustice and this archival site is evidence that Oxy is always transforming.
